WaLk in tHe WOOds*

Our New Years trip to the mountains was so peaceful. I woke up earlier than the others our first morning and decided to wrap up and go for a long hike. It was so cold and wonderful.
I found a game trail and started following it enjoying all of the light and reflections. It was so peaceful to only hear the crunching of the snow and my heavy breath. I saw a (very large) friend.
Three days with really great friends was just what I needed. It was such a great way to start the New Year. We talked about our dreams and goals for the New Year and how grateful we were to have each other. It was really beautiful.

Looks beautiful! Wish we would get more snow here in Portland Oregon area. Even though everyone freaks out when we do. :) Thanks for sharing your great day.

I know a lot of men who would kill to see an animal like that....

What a beautiful walk through the woods. I can feel the wind on my face and the soft crunching below my feet. Replacing city sounds to the peaceful mountains is difficult. Enjoy the magic of the mountains for me.
