New PaiNtInG**

Here is a little
HapPy EarLY EaSteR painting. Acrylic on cardboard.
We are having Easter dinner at our house this year and I think that it's the first time we've had a holiday dinner at our house. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather stays nice, it's beautiful outside today.

I signed up to run the Platte River half-marathon next weekend. For some reason it's called the 'Platte River Half Marathon and Buckhorn Exchange Relay'.
Buckhorn exchange? Is that the best they could come up with?
Anyway, the funny thing is that on that day I'm actually supposed to be running 16 miles. So after running the half marathon I will have to come home and run a few more just to stay on track.
That's a lot.
bye bye.

Bye ByE *ReD*

I repainted a couple of walls in the living room this weekend. I was so sick of the red I could hardly stand it. I wanted to repaint it in the fall but figured the red would look good for ChriStmAs, so I left it for a few months. It is so much brighter.

We had a great time at Karsh's on Friday, we all played his wii for at least four hours. I woke up Saturday morning and could hardly move my right arm.
However, I did manage to run 12 MiLeS!
Here it is Monday morning and the only thing sore on my body is my dang right arm from Friday night.
Legs, fine.
Left arm, fine.
Butt cheek, fine.
But my right arm feels like someone punched me half a dozen times.

This is my last week of school before SpRiNg break. yippee. HapPy MOnDaY.

Happy FriDaY*

I'm so happy it's FriDaY.
I'm so tired after my looooooong day yesterday. I was at the courthouse for 10 hours listening to testimony after testimony after testimony.
Tonight were going to Karsh and Janelle's for dinner at their NEW house.
Can't wait to see it.
Tomorrow we have a fun surprise B-day party to go to in the evening
and other than that, lots of relaxing.

These little prints I digitally colored, I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it.

HapPy SpRiNg**

Well.. maybe not quite.
I think it's supposed to snow today,
So I made my own flowers.

I have jury duty tomorrow so I should be getting stuff ready for a sub, but instead, I'm making cute flowers out of scraps and wire.

I pulled the scooter out of the garage last weekend and dusted it off. Took it for a quick spin around the block. I can't wait for it to warm up enough to ride it work in the mornings.

Good MoRnInG!

My BuM is Better.
That in itself is enough to post about.
I'm feeling about 85%.
Ran 8 on Saturday,5 yesterday.
And things are looking up. However, I need to run 12 this Saturday to catch myself up. Yikes! Double digits, that's almost a half-marathon.
I'm just taking it slow and steady.
Here is a little 'LoVe YoU' ditty I did last week.
Happy Tuesday.

He turned water into WiNe*

My husband of many talents bottled his first batch of wine a couple weekends ago.
40 bottles to be exact.
It was quite a long process and still needs to age about 6 months. For a few weeks our office reeked of yeast. yuck. But ohhh it will be worth it in the end.
He has already started batch number two. So, for all of you wine lovers, you're looking at your Christmas present.
Not sure what we are going to do with ALL of this, perhaps build a wine rack in the basement.
If he keeps this up I will be painting in the garage.

Finished Commission

I delivered these little beauties last night to a great couple who just built an amazing house close to downtown. Quite happy to say these little guys are one of the first few things hung on their freshly painted walls. Every part of their house is beautiful, even the elevator (yes, I just said elevator.)
These paintings are each 2ftx5ft and I wanted to just keep them for myself.
But I didn't
and here they hang.

Happy Wednesday.

I tried running last night at the gym, didn't work so well.
It will be two weeks tomorrow and I'm starting to feel a bit nervous about loosing too much ground. I walked a few miles on Saturday but am already about 40 miles behind schedule and I really really don't want to have to run a different race. I'm going to rest one more week and see if it's better. If not... i'll kiss my marathon goodbye. whhhaaaaaaa whaaa (whining and crying).
Hopefully things will work out and I'll get myself back on track.
hopefully.

I made this little 'HellO' dity on the computer last week. I'm thinking I might print it to make some cards.
Happy Tuesday.

Winter? Spring?

Saturday was beautiful.
We took Cassius to the dog park wearing shorts and t-shirts.
The weather was amazing, in the 70's.
Look at him being such a good boy and sitting for the camera while all his friends are out splashing about.

Then...we woke up Sunday to a couple inches of snow on the ground.
I cried.
and cried.

..and after I finished crying I spent the afternoon snurched up by the fire drawing and watching movies.
Happy Monday.

Friday! yay.

Happy Friday.

I started a foliage series of drawings last week, scanned them and am now trying to digitally color them. I've got a few done but am having a hard time touching them up. It will just take practice I guess.
Happy weekend.

*Thursday*

It is so beautiful out this morning, could be one of those 'sipping coffee on the porch' kind of mornings.
I can tell that Spring is coming. It's supposed to be 70 degrees on Saturday, ahh I can't wait.

I need some sleep.
and a tan.
I want to go lay on a beach somewhere (only after applying generous amounts of sunscreen to my pasty body).
maybe I just need more coffee.

Happy Thursday.

Wednesday**

Yay for Wednesday.
I'm supposed to run today, but can't. I've been training for 6 weeks and now can't even run to the fridge. It's been a week today and it still hurts to walk. NOt sure how I'm going to make up for lost time once I actually can jog around.

In other news, I fired up the kiln at school last night and it made coming to work this morning feel like Christmas. I couldn't wait to see how things survived. Every student in the school has made something so I have a few rounds of firing to do. It's still too hot to open.

It looks like a time machine.
Aparently the previous teacher left some gloves on top of it while it was firing and they lit up in flames. Such a safe thing to have in a classroom.

peek a boo.

Tuesday**

I did these little paintings yesterday. I just realized that the bottom one looks like an eyeball and a big red set of lips. smooch smooch. gotta fix that.

Monday.

Back to work today after a very relaxing weekend.
I spent most of Saturday painting down in the dungeon. In the evening we went to Herb and Cara's for dinner and a movie. More painting on Sunday.
Cleaned the house a bit.
I was supposed to run 8 miles on Saturday (I'm running the Colfax Marathon in May) However, I pulled a muscle in my right butt cheek running on Thursday. I was getting all fancy and decided to run the last mile at lightning speed (not really) then.... ka pow! rip, pull, yank, something bad happened. It felt like someone shot me with a BB gun. So... no running for me for awhile. I'm resting a week and then I will try it again (on Wednesday) but no more fancy business, slow and steady.
Happy Monday.

SpEciAL NiGHt.

Lastnight Vito made some yummy honey almond pork deliciousness, it was divine! Such a romantic evening at the house. Crackling fire, a bottle of wine, good food, yummy desert and some great presents. It was so nice to just stay in and spend time together, just the two of us.

I put together a little book for Vito of all of the e-mails we sent eachother when we first met. It was so fun to read all of them (and to clean out my inbox). Over a 4 month period there were over 200 e-mails. I took all of the best ones and put them in a mini album.
Cara, does this count as my first scrapbook? or does a scrapbook require pics?

And look what I got! Finally, the phone of my dreams. I'll be playing with this all weekend.

Happy Valentine's DaY!

**Hope your spending it with someone you LoVe.**
