Family Art Night**

I'm finally getting around to posting some of these pics from Fam Art night I had before the Christmas break. The pots have already been picked over but here are a few that are left.

We did a primitive firing (in a trash can) so all of the colors are burned into the clay from the sawdust and charcoal during the first few days of the firing. After a week or so they were taken out and "glazed" with Future floor wax to make em all shiny.

This little basket looked amazing after it was fired but I can't seem to find it to take a pic of it now. It must have been picked up.

Is it a goat? Is it a dog? You decide. Whoever took this picture, captured a dandy. I don't know what this thing is but I hope I never see it again. tee hee.

And of course.. saving the best for last.
There were at least three people walking around taking pics and this is the only picture I found of me. I don't know what I'm saying here, but by the looks of it I'm sure it was something intelligent.

"...and I will beat you over the head with this if you don't get all of those air bubbles out..."

HappY NeW YeAr!

A little over a week late on this post...
This first week back to work has been a bit crazy, but it's already Friday.

We had a great Christmas in Idaho playing and relaxing.

Over New Year's we went up to Idaho Springs with Heather and Ali, they were in town for the holiday and it was nice to spend some time with them.

We rented a little two room cabin, spent some time at the hot springs and went out for a nice dinner on New Year's eve.

We almost thought that we weren't going to get up to Idaho Springs because of the I-70 road closure. Once we convinced them that we had a reservation they let us through. We stopped on the highway to take pictures because NO traffic was being let through.
It was kind of creepy.
No traffic coming or going, just us.
We of course had to document.

Roads look pretty clear to me...
no snow
no wind
no ice.

just us dancing around in t-shirts.

Happy New Year!
