I got the 6am call yesterday morning that school was cancelled. YaY! I felt like a little kid, I couldn't go back to sleep because I was so excited! I was prancing around drinking coffee in my pajamas all morning.By 7am I was printing away.
My great friend Heather is having a baby this summer and I'll be out to see her and her cute tummy next month for the marathon so..... I made these cute things. I got a few of my designs made into screens this week and was so excited to start screen printing. A snow day couldn't have come at a better time. And... printed on some cloth napkins! Thanks so much for all your commented (and e-mailed) suggestions, I'm totally going to try a few. Vito came home early and started making some delish chili and I baked a couple loaves of bread. We watched movies and drank yummy wine. And this morning.... I got the no school call again! I baked a few (marion blackberry) scones for breakfast. Blackberry is now officially my favorite, they are a little sweeter than blueberries. And for the neighbors... rugulah! I made two kinds... walnut with brown sugar and lemon poppy seed.
Surprisingly good.
That's why the neighbors get over half... I'd eat all of them. Hope you have a great weekend...
I'm off to shovel the driveway, it snowed over a foot!

more PriNtiNg***

I've officially gone off the deep end with all this carving and printing. I've been carving like a mad woman and am now not sure what to print all these designs onto... any ideas??
These little blocks are so easy to carry everywhere, I love them! But now.. I have quite the collection and I haven't made up my mind about what exactly I should be doing with them. I came home to this yesterday...We had a yummy dinner by the fire last night. It was the perfect ending to a cold rainy day.
.. but now I'm ready for Spring!
... Next week is my spring break, so I'm really hoping the weather will be nice and warm. If not, we might have to get out of town for a few days. Camping maybe?? somewhere warm...

MoNdAy.. it's raining.

The weather was so beautiful yesterday, we spent all day working outside. But this morning's cold and raining. It was hard to get out of bed, I wanted to stay curled up with a book all day.

Yesterday I packaged up all of these prints and will be sending them off to CaNaDA! Go check out Lune Vintage.. it's a super cute shop that will be selling my prints very sooooon.Saturday I baked a pie and took it with us to V's grandparents house for a visit.
They are so cute. I discovered this amazing artist..Sarah Blank. Her paintings are so warm and rich. They are so fun to look at on a cold rainy days like today..

These two ladies are my fav.Hope you had a great weekend.

The new blog looks gorgeous. I love the new layout.
Danielle- e-mail me your two choices and your address and I'll get them in the mail.
Thanks again everyone for playing, it was really fun.
I'm dusting off the sewing machine this weekend. I purchased a few yards of some crazy cool oil cloth and am ready to make a few creations. Fancy Tiger on Broadway is such a cool little shop to find yummy fabric and yarn.And.. I got some MoO cards in the mail. I've seen a few people with these and I had to get some myself. They are tiny little business cards (half the size of normal cards) and you get to upload your own images for the front of the card. so cute!

I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

I ran 11 on Saturday, it felt really good...but I got a sunburn on my shoulders and the back of my neck. I'm not used to wearing sunscreen yet, since it's only March! It was such a nice day.And Saturday night we went out to dinner at Ja Ja Bistro (amazing French Restaurant) with Ron and Whit. A little celebration for V and Whit's five years of business. One of V's interns works there and she totally hooked us up with this super cute dessert.Sunday I went to a yoga class with duce, came home and did some printing! It was fun. I started doing a little Spring cleaning yesterday and started organizing the garage.
It was a really nice weekend. This Spring weather has been amazing. I keep waiting for it to turn and start snowing but so far it's been really lovely. Hope you have a great MoNdAY!*

CooK Tamara CoOk**

I've been trying to cook a bit more over the last few weeks.
I'm not that great at it.
I have a hard time knowing if something is seasoned right, if it needs more or less of this or that. I love baking so much (because it's so structured) and I really WANT to love cooking... but it's taking lots of practice. My husband on the other hand is an amazing cook, it comes so naturally to him. He's so good at it and he really loves doing it.
I'm hoping to have a dozen or so really yummy things I can make without needing a recipe .. it's actually been really fun experimenting. I think I'm getting a bit better, not great, but better.

Our little cabin in the woods was perfect. Super quirky and really cute. We totally lucked out with the weather, it was beautiful. It was super fun hanging out with Ted and Lisa. We cooked good food, played fun games, Lisa and I went for a run (1o miles!) and I did a lot of drawing.
We made homeade pizzas Saturday night.. yum.
It was so relaxing.. staying up late.. sleeping in late.. the best.
It made coming to work this morning super hard. Hopefully we'll go again soon.

We're headed to the mountains with some friends this weekend to stay in this adorable little cabin for a couple of nights. We're expecting a lot of snow and not so much green like in this pic. It should be fun. Hope you have a great weekend!

Go HeRe>>>>>
my genius husband has started a wilderness program! He's been working on this project for quite some time and finally got everything up and running! He did a little trial run last summer and it was a huge success so this summer he's offering 6 (week long) camping trips for kids and adults.
He got super great postcards made up and a website. you'll have to go check it out! The website looks great and I'm even on it
(note the red arrow, that's me. hee hee.) I'm so proud of him, he's already filled a couple of the trips!
This should make for an exciting summer.

Vito's work "christmas party" on Saturday was so great. Him and Whit have been in biz for 5 years now! It's so hard to believe, I'm so proud of him.
We met at his office and all carpooled over, it was so nice. All 20 of us packed into the back room at Breckenridge Brewery and had a yummy meal and drinks.Everyone seemed to have a great time, it was a great way to spend an evening. Hope you had a nice weekend. I'm doing my long run (8 miles) tonight since I was busy this weekend. I keep putting it off.. I'm still not quite in the groove of things yet. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I'll feel a bit more confident about these long runs.
