Friday! yay.

Happy Friday.

I started a foliage series of drawings last week,scanned them and am now trying to digitally color them. I've got a few done but am having a hard time touching them up. It will just take practice I guess.

*Thursday*

It is so beautiful out this morning, could be one of those 'sipping coffee on the porch' kind of mornings.
I can tell that Spring is coming. It's supposed to be 70 degrees on Saturday, ahh I can't wait.

I need some sleep.
and a tan.
I want to go lay on a beach somewhere (only after applying generous amounts of sunscreen to my pasty body).
maybe I just need more coffee.

Wednesday**

Yay for Wednesday.
I'm supposed to run today, but can't. I've been training for 6 weeks and now can't even run to the fridge. It's been a week today and it still hurts to walk. NOt sure how I'm going to make up for lost time once I actually can jog around.

In other news, I fired up the kiln at school last night and it made coming to work this morning feel like Christmas. I couldn't wait to see how things survived. Every student in the school has made something so I have a few rounds of firing to do. It's still too hot to open.

It looks like a time machine.
Aparently the previous teacher left some gloves on top of it while it was firing and they lit up in flames. Such a safe thing to have in a classroom.

I did these little paintings yesterday. I just realized that the bottom one looks like an eyeball and a big red set of lips. smooch smooch. gotta fix that.

Monday.

Back to work today after a very relaxing weekend.
I spent most of Saturday painting down in the dungeon. In the evening we went to Herb and Cara's for dinner and a movie. More painting on Sunday.
Cleaned the house a bit.
I was supposed to run 8 miles on Saturday (I'm running the Colfax Marathon in May) However, I pulled a muscle in my right butt cheek running on Thursday. I was getting all fancy and decided to run the last mile at lightning speed (not really) then.... ka pow! rip, pull, yank, something bad happened. It felt like someone shot me with a BB gun. So... no running for me for awhile. I'm resting a week and then I will try it again (on Wednesday) but no more fancy business, slow and steady.

SpEciAL NiGHt.

Lastnight Vito made some yummy honey almond pork deliciousness, it was divine! Such a romantic evening at the house. Crackling fire, a bottle of wine, good food, yummy desert and some great presents. It was so nice to just stay in and spend time together, just the two of us.

I put together a little book for Vito of all of the e-mails we sent eachother when we first met. It was so fun to read all of them (and to clean out my inbox). Over a 4 month period there were over 200 e-mails. I took all of the best ones and put them in a mini album.
Cara, does this count as my first scrapbook? or does a scrapbook require pics?


And look what I got! Finally, the phone of my dreams. I'll be playing with this all weekend.

We're off to the mountains again this weekend. Lastweekend we spent up in Vail with some friends and did a little snowboarding. It felt so good to get outside, I took some fun pics I'll post soon.
