Everyone is getting burnt wood for Christmas. We are having a little holiday soiree at our house in a couple weeks and I decided to burn the invites. (That doesn't sound right... burn?)
Anyway, I cut down some wood and spent the last few days carving away.

I painted the edges and they are ready to go.
I'd like to burn this design into a big chunk of tall wood and set it on the mantle. It would be a good Christmas gift if I wasn't so sick of doing it. Trying to make each one different gets a little old.

OMG I used to wood burn ALL the time as a kid, it is really fun and smelled really good. However, I cannot claim my work was nearly as cute--I spent a great deal of time burning my name, or when I was really feeling creative I would burn Hannah loves (or hearts) and then put the name of my object of 5th grade desire. NO wonder I am in law school rather than off being creative and fabulous like you. LOVE you, and obviously I am one of your blogs biggest fans. I think you should become the WAY hotter, younger, and trendier Martha Stuart!
